Welcome to the 4th edition of Last Man Standing – Østmarka Backyard Ultra, a Big’s Backyard Silver Ticket Race. How far can you go?
Race date: 23.04.2022
Location: Siggerud, Norway.
Rules for the Backyard Ultra:
4 miles 880 feet – 6,7056 km.
2) Starting Corral:
Participants must be in the starting corral at the bell
Each loop starts precisely 1 hour after the last. Warning is be given 3, 2, and 1 minutes prior to start.
All competitors must start at the bell (no late starts)
Except for restrooms, competitor may not leave the course until each loop is completed
No non-competitors on the course (including eliminated runners)
No personal aid during a loop.
Each loop must be completed within an hour to be counted, ncluding the final lap.
No artificial aids (including trekking poles)
Slower runners must allow passes.
The winner is the last person to complete a loop
All others are technically DNF
Results of each runner in terms of distance covered are to be given.
If no runner can complete one more loop than anyone else, there is no winner.
The race is open ended.
NOK 900,- (until 31.12.2021)
NOK 1000,- (from 01.01.2022)
During the race: Head lamp and safety vest. Fully charged mobile phone.
At camp: Basic first aid equipment : compeed, plaster, sports tape, antiseptic wipe, clean needle.
Clothes for cold weather: wool, waterproof jacket and trousers, gloves and warm hat.
Service for runners:
There will be food and refreshments awailable: Hot soup, broth, bread, chokolate, banana, orange, chips, water and cola.
Bags can be stored inside.
